Registration fees - what state has it the worst?

I pay $200 for my plates every year.. and this is for vanity plates which has a $50 premium. I remember paying like $650 for a new Honda Prelude renewal in LA over 25 years ago.. for car, for renewal. for home prices in LA.

Seattle registration is penalized by location. I pay $77 a year but if I lived 3 houses down it would be $677. The regional transit tax zone is a huge scam.
