We'd have to ship ours out to Autotuner, get fully unlocked..then get bimmerremoted...then find someone with an unlocker tool...then reflash. Hassle and a half.

It's not about my limitation, it's factory software limitation, that's why.
It works on any unlocked/pre-unlocked of course.

So my ECU was unlocked by FEMTO 2 years ago and since I have run MHD OTS tunes on it. Would remote start work or interfere with the unlock and tune?

Unfortunately yes, unlock will be lost. You'll need to re unlock.

Just thought I share a quick update.

I can confirm the Bimmer Remote remote start solution works. Jakub from Bimmer Remote has successfully got it working on my Supra.

I’m planning to do a proper written and video review once I’ve have the DME bench unlocked and reflashed my MHD tune. I want to confirm that remote start still works properly after the MHD reflash before giving a final verdict, as this is still fairly new.

There are a few caveats. The main one is that the process will remove your existing DME unlock and tune, so you’ll need to get it unlocked and tuned again afterward. For anyone with a stock Supra, there don’t seem to be many downsides.

For anyone interested who doesn’t want to wait for my full review, Bimmer Remote provided me with the code eddu11 which gives 11% off. Any proceeds I receive from the code will be put back into our local Supra club here in Perth.
