Hi. My jack point pucks are cracked and I want to change them. What do you all recommend?

100% the verus ones, I have saved 10s of hours not having to screw with puck adapters and such. This is not an understatement.

I personally wish someone made an aluminum version of the plastic ones since I already have all the BMW specific bits for my jacks and jackstands. I bought the verus ones but didn’t like how they won’t work with the jack pads I already have that fit inside the oem jackpoints.

cost is prohibitive, that would take a lot of machine time. most aftermarkets will have a solid inner pocket.

semi-related question, and maybe I'm missing something, i wonder why this aftermarket one has a huge Hollow pocket on the top side, when the verus one is solid?

If you're referring to the recessed area that goes around the entire puck, there is a gasket that is supposed to go in there to stop any water intrusion from entering I believe

not the o-ring/gasket ring - the area marked in green. Seems like cutting it out adds unnecessary machining time.

I missed that on that picture. Honestly not sure what the reasoning for that is on the black pucks.

I assume something like this is way too low volume to actually have it cast like that, so I'm guessing they're all cut from Billet blanks.

nevertheless, good find @licklobster. About a year ago I was trying to find alternatives to the verus one and I don't know why i didnt see that.

Does anyone know if the bevinsee jack pad works on the Supra?
The bevinsee pucks do fit but be warned that the retaining nut does not have a notch to hold it in place with the slot. This means it's slightly annoying to tighten (you can't really get a good grip on the puck to pull down, due to the pyramid shape) and you cant really be sure that its resting perfectly perpendicular to the slot.

On the flip side, the o-rings stay seated in the groove pretty well so you don't need to bother with grease like on the Verus install video

And to answer my own question, the void that they machine in is probably for weight or aesthetics. These things are pretty chonky.

All things considered, i don't think it's worth paying triple for the verus ones. It will just take an extra 20 min to install, and if one falls off I'll buy another set of 4.
