Resonator on a B48 Supra

If I eliminate the resonator on my 2.0L Supra, will this trigger the check engine? How much difference will the sound be? Is this an easy task?

i would say go through g20.bimmerpost and look for 330i's that have gotten resonator deletes to get a close idea

That was the first exhaust mod that I did and it was a descent gain in sound. May be all you need. No check engine light
