Hey all. Having a restrain system and pedestrian protection system warning coming up on the dash after replacing the airbag cover to on my 21 supra

1, disconnected battery
2, remove refit airbag unit
3,remove refit airbag cover
4, reconnect battery
is this a case of because it been disconnected it’s thrown the fault and will it clear down with code delete?

thank you

I forget, but you have to wait a considerable amount of time after you unplug the battery before you can remove the airbag due to residual power in the lines.. did you wait? If not, probably the cause. My memory is a little fuzzy due to  but when I did the 3DDesign paddles, I did not get any error messages.

can try re-doing the job maybe forgot to seat the plugs correctly? or worse case damaged the pins when you disconnected them.

Thank you. Removed refit and found I had trapped two wires. Refitted and cleared the codes.
Will test it again tmo but hopefully sorted. On the plus side new airbag cover looks good
