I used Techstream Lite and got the 2 day sub, that's the only Techstream available to the public.

I used an OBD2 to Enet cable and used an ENet to USB-C adapter since my laptop didn't have an ENet port and it worked fine.
So I bought the 2 day standard subscription and have techstream downloaded. Next issue is that techstream does not detect the VIM or the cable I'm using when I use the yellow OBDii to Ethernet cable. I bought and plugged in the MVCI cable I see everyone using online but it can't connect to my car when I use that cable. Anyone who did this process, can I give you a call? I want to try to figure this out before my subscription ends.

Did you use Techstream to download Toyota ISTA?

Ok. Update. It was my misunderstanding. I downloaded ISTA and was able to connect to the car. My car needs to charge but in the mean time I want to clarify. Within ISTA I should go to Vehicle Management and Service Functions. Then go to Chasis and Suspension then go to Electronic Steering and at the bottom I see something called "add service plan."
Am I heading towards the right direction?

yes, then it will guide you through the steps. One of which will be to do the full sweep back and forth about 3x (even though others have said that doesn't work). ;)

Through ISTA calibration, yeah it works.

But the old manual method where you just turn it full lock back and forth on the car on a flat surface doesn't work.

Edit: At least it didn't work for me or the shops that were trying to do it. Tried also using all of the OBD Scanner tools that can calibrate SAS, none of them worked either but that was in 2023, curious to know if any of them would work over ISTA now.

When you try this, can you let us know if you still had to turn the wheel left and right, full lock? Now that I remember, I don't think I had to, I just had to set the wheel to 0 degrees angle and click through the prompt.

So I just went through the procedure and it made me start at 30 degrees right. Then all the way left then hold, then all the way right then hold then straight ahead and then press continue. But I am still getting a bunch of codes.
