The dealer agrees that there is something wrong with the seat. Seat will be taken apart to investigate. I left the car at the dealership. Will update when I hear back in a day or so.

Just because the bolster adjustment is still working doesn't mean it's still going the correct/full travel in one direction (widest).

Just got the car back with the fixed bolsters.

This is the condition they found the bolsters in. This is missing a clip to hold the bolsters. I believe the clips were there but just broken and had come off

This is what it looks like after they fixed it using new clips.

It feels better and I also confirmed the fix using the measuring tape and now the driver’s side and passenger’s side measure the same.

Hopefully this information helps someone else.

Glad it got resolved! Was it covered by the bumper-to-bumper warranty?

That does seem like it broke prematurely unless you do a lot of in-seat dancing? Maybe the previous owner was huge or liked to dance? I'd personally blame the valets. I watched a Mat Armstrong video where the valets at a hotel scratched the wheels (curbed) of at least 2 of his entourage's supercars. My friend had a brand new Volvo that she let a valet park one time and she got it back with the plate around the shifter on the center console had been popped off/broken. What a disappointment. I don't let valets park any of my cars, even my daily driver Camry.

I've always been an "average sized guy" in my opinion. Between 150-180 since I was 18. Generally under a 32" waist. My 2006 Tundra's driver seat, purchased brand new in 06, has broken seat springs in the back and the entry side of the seat bottom is collapsing, this all started at about 200k miles, it now has about 260k. But they really don't make things like they used to.

No, they didn’t consider it covered under warranty. Shocker. They said an “outside force” caused the damage. I don’t know how I’m to prove them wrong so I just ate the ~$500. Part was cheap. Labor for removing seat and entire seat cover was almost all of the cost.

Nice of you to share the outcome and fix after people called you fat, braindead, it’s all in your head, or it must be a brain tumor loll.
Yea, a lot of clowning on the forum. Thanks for updating this thread with the solution.
