I recently got into grad school and find it impossible to do school and keep paying the car. I currently owe about 45k and the car has about 47k miles. I know milage is high since it's my daily and well, I love driving the car. I'm the first owner, the car is stock, and the maintenance has been done all using ToyotaCare. Any advice on what to do, if selling is the best option or how to sell?

I'm impressed you still owe as much as that mileage being original owner. Probably not the best place for financial advice and too many details missing.

If you can't swing the payments, first off congrats for being realistic. For selling it, generally speaking put it back to stock if it isn't already, do a great job cleaning it up to look good, and shop around for what you can get for it - the used car places that buy and resell, the dealer as a trade-in, or KBB combined with keeping an eye on cars for sale locally to decide if you are better off selling it yourself (you normally are). Research what they go for private party, decide on a number, and put it up for sale everywhere you can think of.

In the mean time think about something older and smaller to get you around until you graduate and get some money rolling in. Mazda 3, Corolla, Civic, etc.

Check Carvana and CarMax. They will at least give you a floor for your sale price.

I sold my highest value car on Autotrader, but first checked a few other auto selling sites for similar cars in similar conditions. Compared to trading it in, I saved at least $3000. Having a detailed description and 10+ photos are very helpful. Include maintenance schedules for buyer's peace of mind. My car was paid off, so I'm not sure how you would handle selling a car without the title in hand.

Just don't be stupid like me and do a Toyota trade-in estimator to get a for-fun floor for its value. Multiple Toyota dealers spent weeks spamming my phone/text/email practically begging me to sell my Supra to them, granted mine's an auto.

Same here with the Kelly Blue book estimator when I was selling my 2014 Mazda 3. Dealers in the area acted as if I thought that amount was all could get for my car. When we were buying a Camry, the sales guy looked at our 2006 Lexus RX400h and offered us $4000 for it. I laughed and told him that I will sell it, privately for $8000, and that's exactly what I did.
