Hey yall, have a weird problem I was hoping someone would know how to fix before I go to toyota and fight them to fix it under my warranty.

Strange problem with the driver side mirror
When I get out the car and lock it, and give it about 10 minutes, and unlock the car, the side mirror will automatically lower itself to the lowest position down

It only happens when the car is in park and locked, if i leave it unlocked it doesnt happen. Also have driven the car for over an hour and the mirror didnt lower at all.
Also doesnt happen immediately after locking, I have to give it about 10-15 minutes and then when it detects my key it happens

I was thinking it was something with the memory settings and my driver profile, only thing is, I have a 2.0 supra so I dont have any memory seats or those options :/

Ill include a unlisted youtube video to hopefully show how weird it is

I did not have your problem, but I did have a problem with my mirrors.

Ultimately, the brake recall fix resolved it, but had I not been due for that fix, I’m sort sure how I would have resolved it. The Supra techs were largely clueless as to what would cause it or how to reset things.

I believe there’s a way to reset your infotainment/iDrive. Not sure if you want to try that, but some quick googling should give you the method.

I have a battery recall so hopefully somehow when they do that it fixes it. And yeah I thought it would be something with the settings being saved, but the 2.0 doesnt have memory seats so not sure why the car thinks it does :/ guess ill have to wait and see what happens once they do the recall. I just dont wanna deal with Toyota lmao
