To start off, the car is a 2020 3.0 Supra with a catless downpipe and 93 tune.

Both downpipe and tune have been on the car for about a year and a half now.

Was driving the other day when i noticed a small puff of white smoke coming out of the exhaust when i came to a stop in traffic. Keep on driving it home, and the occasional white smoke continues. I am also hearing a whine noise when I step on the gas, almost like a supercharger noise.
Those are my 2 symptoms as of right now. For the most part, car still somewhat feels like its driving fine, but also dont want to push it to the point of the turbo actually eating it before i can order a new one.

Could easily be a blown turbo. Would probably be best to avoid driving it until you figure out what the issue is, shrapnel from the compressor is not something you want anywhere other than inside the turbo.

How do you notice a small puff of smoke while in traffic and know it's coming from your car?? My car would need to be really smoking bad for me to notice it in the rear view mirror!!!

That is a blown turbo. Happened to me like 6 months ago. Stop driving it. I didn't stop and here I am with a new engine. Oil was leaking into the downpipe and never got a low oil warning before losing all of my oil and spinning a bearing. Thought I could limp it home with the whining noise. Bad idea.

How did you get a new engine? And how long did it take? I'm currently working with Toyota to resolve this oil consumption issue.

blown turbo. Lets get you set up with a DAW :)

Haha well, my car is mainly a show car, bags, widebody.. the works. So i’m not really looking for any big power past 500 even. Feel as though the DAW is a bit pricy just to stay at my lower numbers. Was considering the CTS but after reading a good amount of threads, it seems like that would not be a wise choice.
Think i’ll just be looking for a used oem, or possibly used Pure for sale.

Ouch! So Toyota said since you were tuned, you're at fault?

I have catback/intake installed so far, I'm waiting for them to get back to me about my claim, hopefully they won't deny it due to bolt-ons I've added. Has toyota touched the car since you got a new engine?

Nope, Toyota will never touch it again. You should be fine with bolt ons.
