Ok, so these are the SPL tie rod ends on my car. These are so different from any SPL ones i could find online that i'm not even sure which car they belong to

For reference, here are the actual A90 ones.

Old version

Aside from the very easy tell that mine only has 1 allen bolt vs the other 2, it's obviously an entirely different designs.

How does it keep coming out of alignment?
OK....oh boy this might end up being a foot in mouth moment for me. i think this actually might be the new SPL part, which is very different from the old one. The rod shouldn't be extended this much. It should be fully installed in the tie rod body.

It this turns out to be correct i'm leaving this thread up just in case anyone else ends up being as much of a derp as me. Unlikely, but still.

Yea it does seem pretty extended but if tight, I’m not sure why that would keep making your toe come out of alignment. How many threads are actually engaged?

Also seems like install was a bit iffy as well since toe end looks almost fully threaded onto the steering rack rod. If you threaded both sides out more towards the wheel you wouldn’t have to extend the rod end spherical threads out so far
