They are very durable. I no longer do track days so someone from that group will need to chime in. For autocross I’ve gotten 10-12 events out of them plus 1.5 to 2 hours on them driving to and from each event. I did notice they started to drop off in performance a bit after maybe event 7 or 8 from all the heat cycles. When they were fresh I was consistently in the running for top pax time at my local club. Later in their life I dropped down to being top 5-7 or so. That’s normal though.

And the faster your times get, the quicker you’ll go through tires (and other parts). Anything greater than 100tw, I’ll get a lot of slip and slide. My wife drives on the same tire and gets them to last way longer. She’s a good driver. But in a completely different class/ times than me (black or red group vs her yellow or blue group). We don’t change tires. Just keep on the Maxxis Victra RC-1, same brake pads, etc.

Hope that helps.

Not a Corvette.
Are re71RS that durable that it lasted you a whole season? How many track days
At any decent pace you will get about four/five track days out of a set of RE71RS, they drop off a a couple seconds after the fourth day but don’t become liabilities like Nankang CRS do, they just get slower. So you could technically get six plus days out of them, they just wouldn’t be as fast.
Fun fact: even heat cycled out RE71RS are faster than fresh Kumho v730.

Good to know. That’s the problem with the RC1s. They are so good from new to cord that I tend to drive on them way to long, w/out feeling or noticing them fall off performance wise. Have to watch them like a hawk ?
