I want to add at least 50 lb/ft of torque . I'm not interested in installing anything illegal (cali/texas resident) but I'm okay with my warranty being placed in jeopardy. Any safe/reliable/legal options currently available?

0-60mph in 4.3 "real life" seconds is the goal without having the skillset of a nascar driver.

Dump the 4 banger n buy a 6....

I kid....isn't a dp n jb4 the way to go for pretty good gains?
I have zero first hand experience just what the internet has told me?...

Start with a JB4. Then you can bolt on as necessary with down pipe, etc. JB4 can be easily installed aNd removed. Do you have access to 93 octane gas?

I plan to trade in 2.0 for a 3.0 if I canā€™t get it to be faster. Iā€™m satisfied if itā€™s just a little bit faster. I just want one more second shaved off that 0 to 60.. From my understanding the base Supra is more than enough for me.

Downpipe is illegal.

soon it'll be illegal to modify any car at all. If you're worried about the laws then it's simple.. buy a faster car and leave it stock.

Even a catted dp is illegal?
Maybe a jb4 will get you that second you're looking for.
And for the price it may be a better choice than trading in your car...

Steve

Edit...just saw where you're located....so yes a catted dp is illegal...Hahaha...

JB4 gives the 2.0 up to 40whp/70-80wtq with 93 octane and about 30whp/50-60wtq on the 91 octane. You would be fine with a JB4 only but I got me a high flow filter and a catback exhaust system will yield some more torque.

If the downpipe is illegal enough to worry about, the JB4 is also going to be illegal enough to worry about.

Car doesn't have to be smogged for another 6ish years. I wouldn't worry about it just yet except for maybe sound. I've been pulled over full exhaust and catless DP and only got a ticket for speeding. I've lived in SoCal my whole life always had modified cars, never really worried about the legalities as I don't really drive wrecklessly. The only time I've been pulled over for my mods was when I lived in Va and got pulled over for my exhaust and tinted windows on THE HIGHWAY!!!!
With that being said, I've also haven't dynoed but with the aforementioned mods it's fairly quicker.
JB4 map 2
BMS intake
Catless DP
resonated dual exit exhaust
After I get some logs checked out, I'm most likely going to be running E50 like on my ST.
Should give you a nice bump in feeling.

JB4 all the way! I ran this on my Golf R and Type-R with zero issues and seriously impressive gains. This piggyback ECU system alone will give you that desired 0-60 time (several reviewers on normal back roads have accomplished 4.5 seconds to sixty stock). I'm on a customized version of Map 5 on the JB4 (targeting 22 psi and tapering off) and it's a HUGE difference.

Should be good for 300WHP and even more WTQ. That's around 360-375 crank hp, (give or take) in a 3180 pound coupe. Some people sleep on these b48's, not a good idea even with a mild tune in place, lol. Add in a quality DP, e85 mix and a retune for even more get up and go if you want a really good shot at sub 4 seconds 0-60 times.

Yeah, I'm waiting for the ECU to be unlocked for a proper e85 tune. Then it should be the business.

How long have you been running the JB4? 91 octane only
out here.(Colorado). Did you have any problems setting
it up. Logs etcā€¦?My 2.0 bone stock. Thanks.

I had my JB4 on the second week. Then another week of lots of datalogging and adjustments with the direct guidance from Terry at BMS. As mentioned before, this is my third time using their piggyback system and I have never had a single issue with their platform or maps.

You'll be a little down on power with only 91 octane, but it will still give you a nice bump from stock ;b

Definitely...I've been running for a few 1k miles. I've had CEL come on for a few things not sure if it's because of the JB4 but they have been cleared on their own.
