Hi,
I would like to create a pinned post with real world data about the Manual Supra compared to other manual cars in the same market segment or same power levels. Maybe people can contribute and provide their data points. I see quite often people asking if the Supra Manual is slower than the auto, how it compares, what is the potential, etc.
The aim is to link to the source for each data point. If there is no proof, I'll put an (*) right to the number, like estimation. Take with a grain of salt the data as well, there are too many variables like DA, temperature, humidity, elevation, etc. So, there will be variation, but is just to get an idea, as having exact numbers would be pretty much impossible. If there is no (*) the number itself it's a link to the source. If I don't have a data point it will say "No Data", but please ping me via DM if you have info and proof.
I think someone did 9.60 with his Supra, I'll look that up and update the entry.
It's interesting how close the Evora GT does, very similar times with a very different setup (3.5L Supercharged).
The M4/G82/S58 is a beast, but I think that with E50 we can get close to 7s. Still, the M4 costs like $30k more and it has 350+ lbs more too, that you can feel. Plus, the rubbery shifter and the gearing is not as fun for a street car.
Would be nice if people can provide more data points for this table. Interesting cars would be the Nissan Z and Cayman 718.
