Simply buy a 2020 and tune it. For less than $1500 (downpipe and tune) you're at 500 bhp and over 500lb ft tq, assuming you have access to decent fuel.

The 2020 is also going to be a more responsive engine due to the higher compression. People are getting hung up over what is essentially a non-issue.

This is what I am thinking about doing. My local dealership is willing to sell a 2020 for $7k off. I might wait out another week or two and see if I can get them at $10k off. Maybe even lower interest rates in a couple of weeks as well.

While I definitely agree, I always drive myself to acknowledge, sometimes unsuccessfully, that everyone starts somewhere.
You gotta start somewhere my friend! Even if it's just finding the right wheels/tires/air pressure to get the mid-low 3 second 0-60's.
