This car has a fantastic exhaust from factory don’t see why people would bother spending money on a aftermarket exhaust when all you need is a bigger dp for better sounds with your stock exhaust plus actual power gains from it
Heavy, too muffled, flow isn't the greatest. Only redeeming thing about OEM exhaust is that when you do want the car to shut up and cruise in comfort, that hilariously oversized muffler actually does wonders and mellows out the car big time.

If you're looking for an OEM style exhaust, keep the factory DP and go with an HK or Fi valved system.

Anyways, keep up the good work with the budget build. (not taking shots at you)
Add me to the budget build list. I don’t spring for an exhaust at all, just dump from the turbo.

Will their be compromises, yes, can drone be fixed with a set of $50 ar20 resonators or spring for the luxury option and get a set of $75 vibrant and weld them into the location of the awe version, it’s how I converted my touring non res to res when awe took too long to build me a res mid pipe, after hearing it I think it sounds great. It’s a deep exhaust so drone will exist but again for the money I think this is pretty awesome. This with a catless dp @itsbassi

@Supra Jr. Did you get the chance to record a sound clip of the drone inside the cabin?

For the money if on a budget this is a great option… but at the end of the day it’s a knockoff AWE. I’m sure in person the tone is different and quality/fitment is probably slightly compromised but at $700 can’t complain it still sounds good. I will say my AWE has no drone with a catless downpipe and to me that’s worth the premium alone personally.

Fitment and quality are great to be honest. And this is my first no name exhaust. On my vette and roush mustang both had corsa.

Sorry I didn't
Whenever you get the chance, could you record a sound clip from the interior cabin and try to capture the drone? I'm running the same DP as you so it should be an exact comparison of what to expect. This car is no longer my daily so I'm wondering if it's bearable, or even if just adding those Vibrant resonators that were mentioned previously is enough to resolve the issue.

Don't worry OP: Every platform has it's "purists" that skoff at anything different from the norm. You should see all I dealt with my previous platform. Some can't accept the idea that there's more than one way to skin a cat LOL.
I thought about making a post about how I'm using Hawk brake pads at the track, just to poke the bear. ?

I'm running Hawk's DTC pads. You do NOT want to know how bad the dust is. ?

I'm sorry but for a little bit of drone I'll save $2000. We all probably make very good money especially when alot of use bought a $60k car as a weekend toy but when I spend $2500 on this car it's going to be on a pure 800 turbo not exhaust for pure sound and no real power gains.
This is exactly why I went with a Tomei dual
Outlet, the single is even cheaper. AWE wants $2700+ for a Stainless Steel exhaust, no thanks. The Tomei was I think $1700, full titanium and IIRC a 49 lbs weight savings. 1fastsupra.com is where I bought mine. Great sound, huge weight savings, great look and fit is great. Plus, Tomei a long and reputable Japanese company.
