Hi all, I want some advice and guidance on what would be my best combo tire, wheel&suspension set up for 400-500whp. So far I plan on getting a square set up of 18x10.5 32offset with 295/30/18 ps4 tires with stock springs. I've read that the stock springs offer better traction because it allows for more weight transfer. I've also consider the nitto555R2 as well like a 305/35/18 or 305/40/18 if the michelin can't get the job done. If you guys have any suggestions let me know. Thanks in advance!

Sorry forgot to mention that. No I'm not tracking the car. I would just be doing spirited driving in backroads from time to time.

Can’t run this setup with stock suspension. Front wheel and tire will rub on the oem strut.

Get coilovers (must) and run 295/35 18 A052 or RE71RS. There is no point chasing more power and running high grip tires on this platform without sorting out the suspension first.

I would ditch the stock springs. If you want to run a wheel/tire setup like that and retain the stock electronic damper control then run the HKS or MSS spring setup.

For tires, what climate do you live in? Is this daily driven? Ps4s are ~ok~ but not worth the price. They're kinda ass on track imo. I'd recommend something like the Conti-ECS. If this is something you're driving only in weekends and not in rain then take your pick on 200tw tires.

Sure for a drag racing setup but not the kind of driving he wants to do in the “backroads”
by his tire choice it seemed he wanted a straight line setup, no?

i can’t imagine anyone doing twisty backroads on 555RIIs….. right OP? *looks at OP disappointedly*

@Vinny softer suspension -> shift of weight to rear -> more traction

he has it correct

for drag packs, the common street f*** boy setup down here is H&R front springs, stock rear springs
Well yeah for drag racing

i think he wants to do all kind of twisty corner cutters in the “backroads” unless hes on his way to the drag strip after his travel lol

My plan is going with hks adjustable springs

Definitely going with hks adjustable springs and it will be daily driven with no track days. Just some fun in some back roads and some head2head from time to time.

Why not both if possible. The only reason why I mention the 555r was for better traction but like you mention that's mostly for straight line fun.
