Decent list of changes. The engine upgrades are interesting for sure. Still wanted a manual but its good to see REAL performance changes from toyota. Not just appearance crap. I hope the 4cyl sells decent for toyota to print some money and keep upgrading the faster versions

Also kind of bummed if you get the tech package you must get safety stuff like radar cruise etc. I hate that shit but like the sound system etc

Any current owners feel kinda burned that they basically invalidated our car after 1 year? Depreciation isn't going to be kind.

Is it a real power bump or ...? Cause if it is, that’s some bullshit.

Yeah, unfortunately, it isn't just a tune. 2021 models are getting actual better engine and suspension components. It kinda sucks for us tbh.

I remember an interview with Tada san, he promised a higher horsepower version next and also stated that all updates for newer models will be backwards compatible. Now, how toyota will roll these updates out beats me. My guess, when you bring it in, it will be a simple ECU flash

"The increased output results from a slew of upgrades throughout the engine. The new dual-branch exhaust manifold, with six ports instead of two, improves heat management. A new piston design reduces the engine’s compression ratio from 11:1 to 10.2:1."

This would mean it has the B58D, so yes a real power bump

You're going to need a source for that. This is much more than an ECU tune. It's exhaust, engine, and suspension upgrades.

So Toyota made my new car obsolete within 5 months of purchase. That’s cool. Not Disappointed. At all.

Was thinking this, too. A bit annoyed. And if Toyota's serious about improving it every year they're always going to have terrible resale. A bit unfortunate.

They always say stay away from first year models. I’m still tempted to get a Supra that is almost 4K under sticker right now but the 21 models.
