Trunk Warning Notification

When I open one of the doors (driver or passenger) to get something out out of the car...close the the doors...the trunk light will stay on.

To get it to turn off...I have to open the trunk and close it again.

It will eventually go off...but then when I start the car the trunk open notification shows up.

FYI : I've checked the emergency release handle and that is straight (read to check this on Reddit).

Anybody have any tips on what to do?

Have to remember to do a search before posting

rotating the bump stops counter clockwise 1/4 and closing the doors gently...Seems to have worked!
