UK Servicing Schedule

Afternoon all,

As a potential owner (just sold my F-Type) I'm a little confused to what the servicing schedule is for the B58 Supra here in the UK. Is it every two years like a BMW or every year? Even the Toyota website contradicts itself. Particularly interested in maintaining the "10 year" warranty, this is a big attraction over getting another F-Type, plus 1 year vs 2 year servicing and general running costs.

If every 2 years, do you need "maintenance check" done annually?

Servicing is condition based, determined by the car's electronics, and you can check this in the infotainment system - it'll show time and mileage until the next inspection, oil change, and brake fluid change.

There's a separate service booklet which has UK servicing intervals in it, I don't have this to hand but think it says 24-monthly servicing, with 24-months being oil and filter, and 48-month including spark plugs.

Having said that, mine doesn't do many miles per year, so I have it serviced annually at my local Toyota dealership. The first two services were a regular inspection with oil and filter change, and cost something around £350 each. At the next one (combined with MoT) I'll be asking for spark plugs etc as well due to the car being tuned.

It's 2 years / 20,000 miles per manufacturer recommendation. I'm only going to have the car 2 years so I'm going to do one at 12 months.

The 10 year warranty isn't custom to the Supra, but I think that deal needs to get it serviced each year to get another year of the Relax warranty, once the original Supra warranty expires.

I've had my Supra since Jan 2022, manufactured in Dec 2021. I've done about 11.5k now.

I recieved an email from my Toyota dealer stating the car was due a service. I checked the car service indicator and it said not due till 12/2023 or 20k miles. I also checked the warranty and service manual that came with the car and it is the same.

Confused, and slightly concerned, I called my dealer to find out why they had my car as requiring an annual service. In short the conversation was very confused. They started off by saying that the car service schedule on their system was every 12 months. I queried this and quoted them the Toyota supplied material back at them. After some discussions with the service manager I was advised that the Toyota warranty booklet was correct and their system was wrong.

I will put the car in for an oil change in Jan, on its 1 year anniversary. But I'll do this because I like the idea of keeping the oil fresh and not because it is required.

I'm glad i am not the only one who is confused.

Mine was a prereg in March 2021 and i bought it in July 21. I was led to believe the service intervals were 2 years or 20k

In January 22 after 5k the car warned of an oil service being due.

I queried this with 2 local Toyota dealers, and they said it is variable and car will let you know when things are due, so £300 lighter after an oil and filter change, which like most i wasnt too bothered as it won't hurt to have clean oil.

However, car's now telling me there is a brake fluid change due as of January 23, but the oil and inspection not due until Feb 2024.

Called the service department to book a service, and they tell me it the 2 year A service that's due, which include the brake fluid, plus and oil and filter change for £350.

(with the 4 year bieing a B service which includes the plugs)

I asked why am i being told different things every time and he didn't know, suggested i speak to the GR specialist when they return from holiday next week.

In short, mines 3 months short of being 2 years old with 13k on the clock and i'm about to have my 2nd service, even though the 'guidance' suggests the first isn't due yet!
