UK Summer Meet-Up

Reviving this thread - I'm not on socials so not very up to speed - wondering if there's any meet ups planned at all that anyone knows of/is thinking of

I did Simply Japanese last year in the LC and it was a good day out - my first proper Jap meet in 10 years IIRC! (Shame the LOC don't really organise club meets - went down with a guy in a lovely RCF and bullied a lot of Nissan's en-route...)

I'm up for a few meets once I get her back from Whifbits.

Anyone in the SW of the UK, PM me and I will give you the details of a fantastic little sunday morning cars & coffee. (Won't post publically or it will soon get overwhelmed/spolit)

Simply Japanese was excellent. Highly recommend that place. When you say in the LC. Do you mean Lexus LC500 ? Looked round the entire show twice looking for one and there wasn't one. Wanted to see one in person.

I took mine last year, I didn't go this year.

(I was between a Stagea and a Mk1 MX5 on the road from the entrance to the cafe)

Do agree that it is a brilliant show, and I will 100% go next year with the Supra.

East Meets West at Wilton House is good too - I did that last year & this in the LC.

LC500 is stunning! Really need to see one. I don't think pictures, like most cars, do it justice.

I can imagine some exotic stuff being there! (including one Supra )

Hopefully, it will be good! And if not, it is set on a picturesque lake, so for a tenner it’s not all bad!

They posted yesterday that half of the 250 tickets were sold on the first day so it should be pretty busy.

Lot’s of people leaving as I pulled in and also just missed @Malcolm Feth which is a shame as I wanted to have a look at your wing! But, it looked very nice as we passed each other on your way home!

Yes, you were too late. There were three supras, I was the last one to leave

I arrived about 09:30 and was directed to an overflow spot at the top as it was too busy. It was so busy cars were starting to block the main road waiting to turn in.

Seemed like a bit of a clash with people going there to swim.

I could have moved it once it quietened down but once I had a good look round I left.
Really good mix of cars though.
