Why is that an interesting comment?
Because it confirms that Toyota has been recalling cars resulting in them updating (locking) ECU's which is what the topic is about.

Perhaps not interesting to you in the US, but that's why it's in the UK section and thread title has UK in the subject.

No, I understand that- Though, it's a 2020, and from how I understand it, ALL 2020-era B58s were recalled. And that recall was a software update that, as all software updates do, re-lock the ECU requiring a bench unlock.
