I have the hood vents, what do you want to know?anyone running the supramod open vents? Would love some feedback on them.
@BraveDemon 's car looks better, it's newer and doesn't have a sand blasted front end unlike the mango on the right lolI can't believe how shiny those cars are. Soooo niiiiice.
I'm very curious to see if there is any water that gets trapped and subsequent corrosion issues.I have the hood vents, what do you want to know?
Install is simple, just pop old vents out with a plastic trim tool and snap in the new vents. Fitment on the right side was 10/10, left side was maybe 9/10. They have a very nice OEM look.
Rain season is finally starting, so I can update later if there is any impact but from the design of the mostly enclosed channels they hook into, I am not really expecting issues.
If you are wondering if they "make a difference" from a temperature perspective, other folks testing in different threads has fairly conclusively determined they have negligible impact. This is not surprising if you look at how blocked off the channels they hook into are.
Well, at least you wash them, from the looks of it. I haven't washed mine since I bought it. I just use it for fun drives and track days, so I don't realize it's dirty until it's out and parked next to something clean LOL@BraveDemon 's car looks better, it's newer and doesn't have a sand blasted front end unlike the mango on the right lol
I H A T E yellow cars, but when I saw a Supra in that color I was sold. Pictures absolutely do not convey how it actually shows. And yes: PSS is not a great tire.Nitro yellow looks absolutely great in person. @SD_MK's is the first I've seen up close and pics don't do it justice.
But yeah, his was the first tuned Supra I've ridden in and now I realize there's too much untapped power to leave it in stock form - that and the stock Pilot Super Sports are not that great.
Ass shots of the Supras.
Dude that’s beautiful 🥲Finished the SPL install today. I did the rear toe links, rear toe and camber lockouts, front LCAs, and front tie rod ends. That goes with the rear traction links I did a couple months ago, and the rear upper arms 2 weeks ago. Alignment scheduled for Monday to fix this god awful monstrosity that I’ve created.
That course is SUPER fun. My first time there was a GTA event so it was a bit stressful to learn a track while competing. I never got a serious hot lap in but did get an 80% lap... So I have a score to settle with that place. I'm trying to get back there before that car sells.Ran streets of willow yesterday with speedventures, first time with both, streets of willow is a super fun track
Best time was a 1.29.753 running on a 280 treadwear yokohama v601 street tire - tires were kind of crap nowhere near as good as the toyo rr I normally use, wanted to experiment how I did with normal tires again... Squealed around every corner, had to be extremely gentle on the throttle and they got greasy to the point I just left early - never reached that feeling I am going fast like I get with the toyos
Could have easily chopped more seconds with better tires looking forward to going back
I was supposed to be there yesterday but ended up not being able to go. My buddies went and saw your car though. One of them ran a 1.30 in a nearly stock veloster so you best be putting in some more seat time!Ran streets of willow yesterday with speedventures, first time with both, streets of willow is a super fun track
