Excitement is setting in now for the track with all these track posts about streets of willow. I have a bunch of events coming up heading to buttonwillow this weekend, streets of willow later this month

Picked up a ford diesel super duty to tow car around, the hole i am in just keeps getting deeper ...

Did pre-track tech on car and installed window/center nets and drove around a bit to get a feel for it before going on track it is super cozy now in the cockpit ... got tailed by 2 cops for a bit on the 5 was 100% expecting some bullshit but they left me alone ...
Holy crap you have a full-on race car. That's awesome. I miss those days, slightly.

1 can Rustoleum High Heat - Black
1 rubber mallet to knock of tips
1 wife who will laugh at your for doing stupid stuff in the kitchen

Knock off tips -- takes a few pretty firm whacks with rubber mallet. Seen it done with a hammer and micro fiber towel. Aim more towards the back of the car rather than up to avoid deformation. Follow directions on back of can for painting - it's regular old spray paint so do the obvious. Do follow through with the off vehicle bake instructions. Having your wife laugh at you is optional. Recommend taking her to dinner to avoid noxious fumes as the fresh paint bakes.

Edit -- add some artwork to help visualize the shenanigans

Did this. 95% happy with it. Wish it was a darker black.

@tjk I did my Golf-R's Borla tips using just Dupilicolor engine enamel semi-gloss black like 4 years ago. Still looks good.

Yea for my first time, I'm happy with it. I've already started some research for what I need to improve. I know for sure tires are needed. The first official lap after the leaders left the track during the lead/follow for beginner, it was scary on the back straight to the shicane. I've seen a video of a guy clipping the left part of the shicane and his suspension was ruined. Thankfully it didnt happen to me!
Haha, yeah Mike hit that dip hard. He's in one of our group chats and we're talking about it. He was supposed to meet us in Buttonwillow for TRD Series the next day but couldn't make it because of that ?

I came off the straight at full throttle, let off but didn't brake through the right kink and left kink then hit the brakes hard before the 90° left. It's terrifying the more you push it and I found out how to do it wrong very early in the day (that's the sideskirt pic above) lol. After that I got the hang of it.
