I expect you to stop 50% sooner than me now.
Honestly I'm not feeling great about it, but I don't want to bail on the events I already have scheduled and this was the only way to get pads in time. I'm not a good enough driver to take advantage of the extra performance, but I really don't think I had any other viable options.

It's a lot more money than I really wanted to spend, and looking at how much I've spent this summer it makes me feel sick. That said I've spent the better part of the morning calling anywhere that has the PMUs listed for sale and they're all telling me it's going to be 2-6 months.

Lesson learned. Next time I find the PMUs in stock I'm going to grab 2 sets. It's still cheaper than the god damn CSGs.

This also means that my two upcoming track days are going to be my last for this year. ☹

Yea, gotta do what you gotta do. It's INSANE that you can purchase THREE sets of PMU Club Racer front pads for LESS than ONE set of CSG C21 front pads. Absolute insanity.

So... grab three sets of PMU CR next time they are in stock. I know I will.

Agree! Nice pads no doubt. But I took that extra money (in my mind) and bought a set of Apex wheels on sale. 18x11 square for track season. Definitely wider, lots of tire choices, and 10mm spacers all around. No longer ā€œneededā€ with my Ohlins but does look nicer ?. And inexpensive

Dang…. looking good hombrĆ© ?. Are you using magnets or vinyl for your numbers? I have both but with the numbers so far back figured that could be magnet.
18x11 and still need spacers? What's the offset????
My numbers are vinyl. I couldn't find metal anywhere on the car that I wanted to put numbers.

As for the great brake pad debate, nobody seems to worry about brake pad wear versus rotor wear, other than me?
We all know either the pad is going to wear or the rotor. You can't have long life in both.
Unless the CSG pads are lasting so long because they are literally so thick that they last twice as long as a standard thickness pad.

CSG pads are the same thickness as others and OEM. 18.8mm (with backing plate)

I also factor in rotor wear, like you.

Only metal that a magnet would stick to is the rear fender panels. Good luck finding a flat surface there. ;)

Well, it's still better than dropping $1k on some of the bullshit "JDM" CF sun visors or whatever tf the kids are into these days.

Think of how many squash air fresheners you could get for $1,000.

I mean, why would I need that when Verus sends me one of these every time I make a reckless spending decision?

I guess I should go ahead and order a full Stage 3 aero kit to keep my car smelling fresh.

You know it.

I'm going to ask for at least 10 so I can tape them all to that giant wing. I'm sure I'll get black flagged at Lime Rock, for the whistle and the debris, but at least the whole track will smell AMAZING for a few minutes.

While my Supra hasnt been out in the wild for a few weeks now (summer hibernation), I finally stopped being lazy and ordered my ticket to Supras in Vegas! Super excited to track at Spring Mountain as its normally a members only track.
