Got groceries yesterday to keep her juices going & battery charged. Was extra tight in the new seat & harness. Bought eggs and drove back no faster than paddock speeds ?. It’s going to be some long dayz till Oct, if I can‘t get one more track weekend in.... Anyone going to Sebring April 11-13 or PCA at the end of October? I haven’t done PCA in ages but worried about tempting fate in April. Still can’t shake my man-o-pause.

Picked up my new car on Saturday…. On Sunday I ripped out that poxy gear knob and installed the Sportshifter that got delivered in December .

Looks like it's not on straight or is it just the image?

We track year round down here! (not sure where you moved from). Except I won't track during the summer anymore. No AC in racecar = fuck that.

Mine is my daily so I am definitely keeping certain comforts in, especially with the suspension tuning for the KWs.

Dude!!!!! Welcome to sunny ? FLowRida! Outer Jax would be a great place to live. Ur close to the state line, got the tax benefits & not a hot as my subtropic loCal. You’re also close to that small track, the Firm, not too far to Road Atlanta and even closer to Sebring ?

Same when I had my S2K. Even now having AC I don’t want to do it. So hard on parts & consumables. I’ve got some young buddies that do the cool suits in MX5s and other low powered cars that can take it ?. But still… it’s physically draining to say the least! No matter how hard you train & stay in shape.

What summer month schedule you running? I’m down to the full April - September off, snowbird schedule now. Getting older and every time I try April or September I end up regretting it ?

Rainy months are good practice ? if you don’t hit a dry patch. That’s been my latest luck when I’ve done those. Anticipate rain and get one of those rare 2-3 days out of the month where it doesn’t afternoon thunderstorm, cool ya off & no wet track to play on ?

I'm down from May to September basically. he car only has full slicks so it never sees rain sessions. Hell, I've been down much longer since the s2000 has been having misfire issues for a year at this point.

And for the new Jax guy, don't forget about Roebling! About 1.5ish hours from Jax and such a great track that gets forgotten about (I'd go there 10/10 times over the FIRM). Looks boring on the track map but it's fantastic in real life. Very fast, very dangerous, very fun ?

After owning the Supra for 2 months, I finally got around to coding some stuff out using bimmercode.
  • I knocked out the BMW dings when you enter the car
  • Same with the warning when you start up the car
  • Put on your seatbelt warning when you enter the car.
  • Fake engine noises
  • Auto-start stop memory (which doesnt look like its working)
Its amazing how much of a difference not hearing the dings when you enter the car makes.

Appreciate the warm welcome (no pun intended).
Looking forward to living out here. So far I'm enjoying it!
