It’s what led me to the Supra. I had a 2010 hardtop convertible that was an absolute blast to drive in many ways. Put the top down and hit the road for whatever excuse one could find. Reminded me a lot of my old 3rd gen Rx7 I had in the late 90s. You could sling that Miata around curves and push it up to the limit without worrying about going to jail. Only thing it was missing was power - which is what led me here. I missed the slippery feeling of a turbo that the Supra does not fail to deliver. The Supra is so much more car in every way than that Miata.

I really do miss having a convertible though. Next weekend toy car will have a drop top.

It’s the poor mans supra. Rx7 is great but mx5 looks even better, all are too slow for me

Had 2 miata's and then a 08 Z06...miatas too small and the Z06 was too big....Supra is the perfect car for me....

If the 86/BRZ never came around, I'd be rocking a RF Clubsport with a little bit of snappy boost thrown on!

the answer is always: Miata!

really though, they hit the nail with this last one, and either RF or convertible are great looking cars!

I owned a '17 MX-5 RF which was very nimble and a blast to drive in the twisties, but gutless as hell...Then a '18 C7 Corvette which was fast but not very nimble...And now a Supra which I call my Goldilocks sports car that's both fast and nimble!

My '17 MX-5 RF - Nimble but gutless

My '20 Supra - Nimble and fast and just perfect!

Never owned or driven one for that matter but you have to give 'em props for what they are... Iconic.

They are too small and ridiculously over-priced unless you get the base version.

Oh how I loved my ND RF Miata (especially the Recaro seats). Until someone merged into my lane without looking and broke it :( .

The base model is good bang for your buck, while a decked out RF model is indeed a bit over-priced. Regardless I had the RF Brembo\BBS package and it is to date the most fun car to drive as a Daily bone stock [of course I ended up lowering it for looks]. The shifter feel is by far one of the best from a factory car (miles better than the stick shift in the BMW M2).

Yes, i'm saying it, it's more fun to drive on public roads than the Supra or the M2 i had while still doing the legal speed limit. It was incredibly reliable and very cheap to maintain.

That said, when tracking it, having tracked faster cars, it did get a bit boring as it obviously didn't have the legs to keep going.

The M2 had the power, but hated the steering feel. The Miata had amazing steering feel but lacked in power. I love the Supra's power and steering feel, just wish it was manual; though i've grown to like the auto.

I did drive a Fiata which handled pretty well. Decent car.

On another note, every time I see a Miata I yell "It's a Miata!". A quote from the movie Go back in the late 90s. Nobody ever gets it.
