I was driving home today and scraped quite badly on a speed bump, having prior experience with a cracked transmission pan I decided to get the car on axle stands and take a look underneath.
The pan itself looks fine but there’s some kind of hose up by the driver (passenger for left hand drive) side of the transmission that’s dripping fluid. The hose seems to go up the top of the transmission but I can’t see it on the other side. It also seems to be split at the end that I can see, not sure if that’s normal or due to some kind of damage.
Can anyone identify what this hose is and what fluid it could be? It’s clear and doesn’t smell of anything.
