What is this whining noise?

What is this whining noise? Seems to be getting worse.

Also, why can I not check my oil levels? I am always paranoid that this noise is due to low oil...

Anyhow. Some context can help people decipher this.
Miles, mods, history of abuse.

Hardly think the two issues are related, unless your car is 20k miles and you've never done an oil change or something... Search forum for numerous oil level issues. Some had to replace the sensor.

It sounds as though something's rubbing against something but that ticking noise is more annoying to my ears.

30k miles. Regular oil change with dealer every 10k miles. I've had to put in a quart or two myself every few thousand miles or so.

Only mod is an air intake, which was very recent.

No abuse outside of some normal hard driving and a few launches.

One YouTube video I've found with a similar noise:

because the gearbox was leaking from new. BMW failed to identify that and said the noise was normal.

split o-ring on the external oil cooler. Started as only a drip at peak temp and difficult to find as the oil was burning off on the exhaust.

Man.. 10k mile oil service is pushing it , not to scare you but that’s how I feel. The shop I’m at does 10k recommend oil services at 7.5k. Just a personal opinion however

It's been there for about 15k miles. Brought it up with the dealership once but it was pretty faint compared to now.

Fo you have any smoke coming from the exhaust? Because with the placement of the camera in the video it definitely sounds like its coming from the turbo
