Hi guys,

Been speaking to a garage about a yellow Supra, but I notice it has TRD sticks on the wing and steering wheel. What would this be? Is it a tuning company too? Car looks stock, but I can only see bodykits online from TRD and an exhaust ? I want a standard car. Garage couldn't explain it. Don't suppose anyone on here recognises it?

TRD generally stands for Toyota Racing Development. Which was Toyota’s primary racing branch before Gazoo Racing. Most of their TRD brand stuff has moved over to the off road and truck parts now. But it kinda makes sense on a Supra I suppose.

It always surprised me that Toyota created GazooRacing when TRD already existed. But yeah Before GR , it was TRD. It's now mostly branding for nascar and offroad vehicles. There's still a couple Camry TRD's that i see but it's nothing but a camry trim with no perforamnce and all cosmetic package.

Here are some aero that you can get for a Supra from TRD which is still unique.

But to be honest, that advert looks like nothing but a stock supra with a trd sticker that the previous customer just stuck on.

Thanks for the replies and the Toyota history lesson :) Guess my concern is that the bodykit and has been removed. Exhaust would be a bonus though :) Just don't want a remapped car as I want to maintain the warranty.
