^Well you did make quite a few blank statements like how everyone only wants a MK4 just because of its powertrain and no other reason. I think everyone could have worded their post a little better. Anyways, everyone just needs to step away from the keyboard, take a deep breath, and relax already!

I wonder if Mitsubishi still holds the trademark to that name?
Yeah, I’m sure they do in the U.S., but I thought Toyota held that trademark for their TRD division for the Supra dubbed “TRD 3000GT.” It wasn’t a standalone model, but rather an “evolution” of the base model name Supra with every TRD part on it. So, it was the “Supra TRD 3000GT”...never actually sold in showrooms as a separate model. The Mitsubishi 3000GT was called the GTO in Japan. Someone correct me if im wrong.

Considering the fact that Nissan owns Mitsubishi now, getting it would not be easy

From a business competitor standpoint, i can see Nissan/Mitsubishi renewing the 3000GT trademark here in the states just to keep it away from Toyota. I would love to see a Toyota TRD 3000GT reborn. Who knows right? Things in auto industry are changing so much! I still think there will be a “GT” in the new halo car’s name (GT-1, 3000GT, etc...). To me, if it’s called anything but a Supra, I’ll buy it...or if it’s called a Supra, better be one CAPABLE SOB!

Worst case scenario 3000GT Cross

How does everyone feel about the FT-1 potentially having a straight six sitting slanted like the rest of the BMW's?

How will that do with the tuner scene considering the not-so-easy mounting of an aftermarket turbo on most BMW straight sixes?

Regardless of what engine or what ever they decide to name it tuners will go crazy with aftermarket support I guarantee it.
