Clean it. Inside and out. Again, but with a better cloth, and use some kind of spray designed for the job as a lubricant. I'd bet a small amount of money you are just seeing the really fine lint that can come off of a microfiber towel. If your towels aren't sliding across easily but kind of grabbing a little, it means they are also shedding. Not long fibers, little itty bitty ones. Paper towels can do it too.

Something along these lines could work, if you have anything like them. No hairs sticking out to break off. This is a case where an old t-shirt might work. I'm not vouching for this exact product but this is the idea.

Thanks. I will look into that.👍

Lmao. He really just here to sight see at this point.
Not at all. Soon after I bought my new Supra, I noticed a differential fluid leak. Razor and some others suggested that the leak may have come from the vent at the top of the diff. I checked, but found that area to be dry.
The dealership tech identified the leak as coming from the diff's left side output shaft seal. Some people here insisted that the tech is clueless, so I asked an independent BMW service shop owner to check. He confirmed exactly what the dealership tech said. I then had a local dealership Supra tech replace the shaft seal under warranty. That was almost two years ago, and it is still bone-dry.

Razor seems to mistaken a request for suggestions as a means to somehow verify a preconceived thought without considering other possibilities. That is completely false. I do appreciate everyone's thoughts.

And as for my Miata - I kept it after buying the Supra because I've always likes convertibles. In fact, I moved to CA from the East Coast, partly because of top-down driving enjoyment. The Miata is worth only $10k or less, but it still brings a smile to my face, just as my Supra does.

Not a Corvette.

And as for my boomer hair dresser car - I kept it after buying the Supra because I've always likes convertibles. In fact, I moved to CA from the East Coast, partly because of top-down driving enjoyment. What weight oil was it leaking?

Update: The "glitter" is not the intermediary layer's defect, nor is it fine sand pits.

It is some kind of overspray that covers the entire car. I can't remember parking near any painting/coating operations, nor can I pinpoint the first time I noticed it.

So within a couple of weeks, I will have a detailer come over to remove the overspray and then apply a good ceramic coat.

If you're up for any DIY work, try claying it. If you're planning to coat it anyhow, and aren't planning to DIY it, then yeah just let them have the whole thing if they plan to polish and etc. anyhow.

That was my initial thought. I probably would ceramic coat it if that was all I had to do, but in addition to all the body parts, every window was splattered. I'm not that far away from being 70, so an all-day task might not be easy.
