Looking for different opinions on the aftermarket wings and spoilers you find on eBay versus the name brands.

Street hunter wings look to be about $1400 which doesn't include paint, some eBay options that are half or 1/3rd the price.

Same with the duck bill options, lots on eBay for under $200 bucks but name brand stuff can run 500-800.

Obviously lesser quality but is it noticeable? Not trying to cheap out on a $60,000 vehicle but if I can redirect more money into actual upgrades instead of visuals I'd rather do that.

It's really the fitment that differs greatly between a quality aftermarket part and garbage found elsewhere.. but a good installer can basically make anything fit, so it's whether you want to spend money and time on the piece itself, or the installation. Most CF bits (real CF, not the hydro dipped junk for faking ricors) are pretty good these days..

If you get a replica version of the Street Hunter wing or a similar style wing, make sure it is weatherproof during installation or you'll have a bad time with water leaking into your trunk.

It's a bit of a crap shoot honestly. I knew I didn't want a wing that I had to drill into the rear hatch so I shopped the stick on duckbill style... and bought about 4 wings (ebay cheap, "recommend by this forum" Amazon dry carbon, ABS, used Taiwan carbon). In short, they *ALL* have some sort fit issues out of the box.

Literal OEM will *always* fit perfect (e.g. like a TRD wing).
After that, you have to mentally check that OCD down to like 90% acceptable or else you will go crazy. I've spoken with Supra owners who got a 95% perfect wing and owners with a "I had to return it" because it wouldn't even fit on the car... and both wings were the same model and same manufacturer. :\

For me, I ended up with what I would say is a 90% decent fit and it's only because I found someone local selling it used so I could test fit it on.

Yep, oem is always the best fit. I'm too scared to think about a rear wing quality wise knowing whats out there in the after market world these days. In the Ford world there was Mountune which was always 100% perfect.

I have a rexpeed painted duckbill, and it's 99% amazing fit and finish. It's kind of hit or miss, from them, I got really lucky. It was cheap and I got it during a sale. I figured, I can try it for the price and see. During my evo days most rexpeed stuff was good for me also. But, yea I had friends who had not good results. ?‍♂
