Not possible, unfortunately. Soon as you go with a downpipe that removes the converter, you’ll get CEL.
You can do a high flow aftermarket cat, which won’t be cheap $800-$1200 or so.

even then some-high flow down pipe will throw CEL.

I’ve seen some pipes with cat-simulators or spacers to remove the CEL that way. I currently have an AMS catted but looking for more bang and more sound from my stock exhaust

I've never seen a defouler or simulator actually work. I've seen a few that work for a couple of hundred miles or work time to time, but nothing that's consistent. The best bet is to go with a high-flow catless like @KGI2019 mentioned.

Some of the high flow cats (AA, AMS, MAPerformance) flow perfectly fine for any stock turbo setup you can throw at em.

Maybe I should just put up with the CEL… who makes big pipe exhaust with a valve? I see dudes running bigger than stock wondering what the setup looks like.

I've been using the Armytrix Catless Dp w/ simulator for over 2000 miles.

I have no CEL.

But it's probably best to go with a high flow cat if you're not going to use a tune or piggyback. Having a catless downpipe without a tune does something weird with the powerband in this car.

This is really an awesome product for people running JB4 who want a catless downpipe and don't want to put up with a CEL.

Thanks everyone for the advice… seems it would be wise to go with a nice valves exhaust if I’m looking for more noise.

No. The Armytrix catless with the simulator bung takes care of the CEL from running a catless downpipe. You won't have to worry about clearing out that code over and over again with a JB4. But if you just run a plain catless down pipe you will continue to get a CEL.

Honestly I’m very surprised that it doesn’t pop a CEL. Well done by them

Yeah. Everyone that's come up to me can't seem to believe it. I've been waiting for it, but it has never shown. Seems like a great solution for people running piggyback who don't want to see a CEL from going catless.

I’m still trying to figure out the engineering for this because if you look at the downpipe photos (albeit they only show like 1) the bungs appear to be spaced the same as a regular downpipe and I see no spacer. I’d have to get my
Hands on one and scan it into solidworks and compare it. You’re still paying 700+ for a catless downpipe though
