Just to make sure the engine doesn't get damaged from rev happy people lol.
Dealers are 99% clueless across the board.
OP had other issues with the car.
I may have had other issues but tell me why I waited 10 mins with no rev Power???? Also there are a few others with the same issue. Ive told you many times i agree with the 30 secs thing because the first thing i did was talk to a BMW tech and they mentioned about the 30 secs. So how many times do we need to tell you some of these cars go for much longer then 30 secs with no rev power. Can you please stop posting here if you are going to dismiss our claims.

If all the supras were doing this then great but ONCE MORE thats not the case.

Don't get your panties in a bunch. I even said in the post YOU quoted, that you had other issues.
If you agree with the 30 sec "thing" then what are you bitching about?
Trying to start more shit right after it all settled down?
Didn't you turn your car in anyway?
Nobody ever said the problems you had is what the "thing" is.
There's nobody here with the same issue. What they described, is the "thing" as you call it.
So calm the fuck down. Ok?

You know what, I'm not doing this again. You don't even have a Supra anymore, so there's no point in arguing.

For anyone reading and wondering why their car is hesitant to rev and accelerate after start-up, it's normal, and it's in the manual. Page 40 of the 2021 Supra manual. Nothing to worry about.

Here's my takeaway from this whole discussion: the car has a function to limit power based on who-knows-what set of parameters. That's it. It's a part of how this engine was built.

Everything else is just a matter of what those conditions are and when they're met. Without knowing the specifics, everybody is just speculating. The mere fact the engine will go into a reduced-power mode (or perhaps a "limp mode", which may not be the same thing) is the main point. The car isn't broken when this feature is active. Maybe the programming is conservative, we don't know.

Bottom line: not something I'm especially worried about. If this an issue - and that's still a big if -Its likely a programming issue. And programming is among the easier things to fix, honestly. All IMHO.

You seriously believe that its normal after people reporting ten mins of waiting and still no power???? Wow just wow. The main reason they bought my car back was the Rev issue you. ITS NOT NORMAL to wait that long in idle THEIR WORDS NOT MINE. When i said i agree about the 30 secs i ment that if the power came back afteR idling but it doesnt, it only comes back after driving off. And for the car to have the rev issue non existing to every start thats normal? Get out of here man you are just making it worse. Once more plz tell me why not every supra is doing it? Oh yeah you cant.

I do believe this is a tune issue and most likely a good tuner can probably fix this. But who knows.

Oh and just because my Supra is gone doesnt mean i will just disappear from the supra community. Unlike you i like to help people @Dannyvandelft

For everyone else who is wondering i will be getting a supra in a few years once toyota figures the computer problems out. I just didn't want to wait for a update or they may never update that part of the car.

What happened to the old tradition of waiting for the engine to warm up before shenanigans.

You shouldn't let a car warm up idling regardless. You need to start, take a few seconds to get everything done, like seatbelts, and go.
They probably bought it back because they got tired of you whining and taking it back to the dealer every half hour.
I do believe this is a tune issue and most likely a good tuner can probably fix this. But who knows.
The manual does.

Yup. You want to help people by spreading panic. I want to spread panic by posting the solution in the manual. Ok then.
Cya in a few years lol. They're not going to "update" it, because it's WORKING AS INTENDED AS DESCRIBED IN THE MANUAL!

Can we be done now please? Or are we just going to keep going in circles?

Let's apply a little logic here,

WHAT!? Yeah, I know.

Anyway, what if one of the parameters is the car measuring gearbox oil temp. Or diff oil temp.
You can idle for a week, still won't heat that up.
You have to DRIVE to warm up a car PROPERLY.
And if the car is waiting for that, before it allows you to rev freely, you're gonna sit there forever.

Use a little common sense, and then apply some common mechanics, maybe a little physics.
