Hey guys. New here.

I got my Supra in September of last year. Just hit 4K miles. This thing is amazing. I love this car.

alas, this last Friday I was driving in a tunnel which the roads for some reason where absolutely terrible. I fell into a big, deep hole at about 50-55 mph.

I immediately slew down and I right away started to notice a slight shake throughout the car, but not through the steering wheel.

pulled into a Mcdā€™s and did a quick inspection, outer wheels arenā€™t cracked or damaged, side walls arenā€™t damaged either. Not even scratched.

took the car the next day to get an alignment done, it was out of spec, balanced all 4 tires and they aligned it here at my local Toyota Dealership by their Master Mechanic.

the car most definitely rides smoother and goes straight as an arrow, but after 40MPh I still fell a slight shake throughout the cars body.

the mechanic found nothing, wheels arenā€™t bent, everything is to spec according to the paper work.

is There something I should check my self ? Was wondering if anyone here has had a similar issue and the fix was something small and inexpensive ( fingers crossed ) thanks for the help in Advance !

something in the suspension is bent
or
how much weight did they put on wheels to balance? It can be with in "spec" but they added a whole bunch of lead to accomplish it.

betting man that wheel is not true

Probably the wheel or suspension. Get it looked at quick.

Check wheel bearing for any play. If nothing, check arms connected to hub for anything loose or play compared to other side of car. If not, maybe measure length of arms from chassis to hub to see anything bent. Last, Rotate wheels left to right see if you feel any difference.

Not a mechanic, but this should likely help you find the issue.

Do a ā€œroad forceā€ tire balance. If there is an issue with the wheels or tires it will detect it. Road force tire balancing is available almost anywhere but for some reason many places donā€™t mention it. With low-profile tires like ours, it should be something you request with every tire balancing.
