Local shop has both tuning options. They are more familiar and comfortable with MHD. I also like the phone app where I can turn up / down the exhaust burle on the fly. I know people really like the Ecuteck tunes. What are the advantages?

Both are good to go, im currently on MHD's OTS 93 octane stage 2 map and its great.

Cost wise, MHD is cheaper to get and you already have OTS maps included. For Ecutek you'll need a map so you'll pay extra for a tuner. MHD is also easier to use through their app.

EcuTek has substantial advantages as well as a phone app with much more custom code options.

Feel free to PM me and Id be happy to help you. You dont need to be local as we remote tune world wide, daily.

From an owners standpoint, if you want the Ecutek racerom Features now (IE- flex fuel, antilag, map switching), then Go with Ecutek. But if the Ecutek racerom features aren't something you're interested in. then they are the same and MHD will suit you. i tune on Ecutek, MHD, and MGflasher for custom tuning for this platform. Feel free to reach out with any questions about anything. MHD, BM3, and MGflasher are also releasing much of the same features.

So long story short, it just depends on what you want as the vehicle owner.

Honestly, the anti-lag alone is worth the cost difference between ecutek and other platforms. The tuneable burple is nice for when I'm driving with the wife; she doesn't like it when it's obnoxiously loud. Besides, Visconti has some of the best support that I've seen from a tuner, and will do everything for you over remote support if you're uncertain or inexperienced with flashing tunes. While the cost is a little higher, they definitely reward repeat customers. In the end, with how much I've gone back and forth on what I want my car to be, I would have spent more going with one of the other options.

Multiple tunes. Going back to stock from stage 1, and then tuning with stage 2, and plans to go flex fuel in the next month and meth injection once the intake manifold I've got my eyes on goes into production. If I'd done all that through a retailer, I'd have paid quite a bit more by now.

Flex Fuel is the way to go!

Why meth and flex?

If you are looking to the future for more fueling then I would suggest looking at a proper Port Injection setup.

https://www.supramkv.com/threads/vi...ential-port-injection-with-motiv-reflex.7649/

Meth Injection is always awesome in the beginning - when it works. Down the road I feel like everyeone - including myself - get frustrated because of clogged jets, systems not working, people not wanting to refill. etc.

For the cost of buying a meth kit ($600ish) plusthe install ($600ish) you'd be halfway into a port injection setup that later down the road would be easy to resell.

Meth, really just for cooling. No intended power gains.

Waiting on this to release:
ETS 2020 TOYOTA SUPRA WATER TO AIR INTAKE MANIFOLD (extremeturbosystems.com)

I can see that. Though refill seems easy enough.

Well, the install would be done by me. I've done everything so far, and haven't run into any issues. Little experience in the past turning wrenches. But yeah, I'm planning on using port injection anyway, just not for fuel.

If you're running ethanol via the DI injectors or port injection, there really isn't a need for meth. At least for cooling. Most setups that use meth for "cooling" are simply quenching the IAT sensors and getting it to show lower IATS to the ECU.

there is no reason for that when we have direct control over what the car does with IATS. no need to trick it so to speak. Meth has good benefits when running pump, but really if you're running ethanol the need for meth (beyond trying to use for supplemental fuel, which you shouldn't if pre TB injection) is decreased a lot.
