Downshifted next to a cop to see what would happen...

He gave me a ticket for speeding and harassed me for quite some time.
Funny thing is, I downshifted from the speed limit to a slower speed when coming up on a red light and he wasn’t shooting radar.
Car is also completely stock besides aJB4 currently. He also didn’t mention my tinted back plate and no front plate. I wasn’t really asking for harassment but I guess my actions show otherwise.

regardless, cops will target this car. Hell they even targeted my RX-8 that I had in high school.
Don’t try to be a funny guy like me.
I know this ticket will go away or not even processed, but you don’t want to risk any unwanted attention in this car.

Man that sucks. Yeah for sure I keep my eyes out for them and even bought a radar detector when I got this car. ? I’ve had them follow me for a little while but never been stopped yet so knock on wood I never do. It’s definitely even more of an attention getter in “Write me a Ticket Renaissance Red”. LOL.

No I have a radar detector. He was also at the gas station filling up his car as I was passing him. It almost seemed had if he rushed to his csr to get me

so he probably paced you then. In certain states, cops can cite you for speeding from just visually estimating your speed. The radar and lidar is just used to confirm the visual estimate.

if you look on your ticket, it will show which radar or lidar unit he used or any notes that he did. What speed did he cite you for?

In south Carolina they can ticket on visual...

BUT....why draw attention to yourself by downshifting in front of him?... obviously you were in higher rpm range so even on stock exhaust you're gonna bang n pop...
Makes zero sense to me...

Got paced for doing "90" on the highway, or so he claims he paced me at 90, was on adaptive cruise set at 80, checked my dash cam afterwards, and saw that my max speed in his view was 75, I guess that's one of the drawbacks of driving a bright yellow car with blacked out windows, normally FHP doesn't bother people like that, unlucky night. an hour later let my buddy drive home and he got stopped, except this time he was going 100, cop said nice car, and let him go. Just depends on the cop I guess

That’s the funny thing. The speeding area is blank. No posted speed limit number. Not my speed. No detection method.

I was in 4th gear at 3k rpm and at 35mph. Shifted and was revenge higher at 30mph.
The speed limit was 35mph.
Typically if I do get caught speeding. I just pay for a lawyer and turn the ticket to a parking violation. This time, I did nothing wrong but draw attention.
