I was wondering how much louder will my car sound like when I add a catted downpipe? I really like the sound of the HKS exhaust I have on the car but I wanna go to stage 2 and I need to buy the downpipes. Just too worried about annoying the neighbors or the family cause I tend to go out later at night. Should I get a 200 cel instead of a 100 if I am that worried?

Thanks

I have a PowerNeedy 200 CEL catted downpipe along with the HKS Dual Muffler exhaust. The sound tone is a bit louder than OEM but not crazy loud like catless. It provides a nice deep and refined tone.

Depending on the cat, the sound may change between vendors. I hear that the AA one has a louder and deeper tone compared to the PowerNeedy one.

The car deserves a catless downpipes. You'd be much happier with boost logic.
Live in a country where your car gets impounded for 3 months for loud exhausts. Even complaints from neighbors can get me in some trouble. Would love to go catless, just really cant.

Do you know of a shop that has it in stock? Everyone seems to be out. Might just order the AA.

I have HKS exhaust, just had my stage 2 completed about 3 months ago. I had the HKS by itself for almost 5 months before getting catted aFE downpipe (400 cell). It is about 30-40% louder especially on cold start. Do it, you won’t regret.

Just wanted to add to this and say the aFe Catted Downpipe is a very solid choice if you're looking for something a little louder than stock, but not something that will break windows. I just got the aFe catted DP installed last week on a stock exhaust and it's convinced me to keep the stock exhaust for at least another year (with MAPerfomance or HKS being my current choices). Let us know what you go with! I'm curious to hear the results.
