Slightly redundant, but this is pulled directly from GangUp:

Oakland Port delays and wheel shipment update:

As we’ve moved into July, another update is definitely due. Our 18” wheels have been idling in the San Francisco Bay for the last several weeks teasing us with their presence. Thursday morning the ship they are on finally pulled into the Oakland port and is currently being unloaded.

The several additional weeks of waiting in the harbor have delayed the shipment of our 18” wheels and earned that boat the nickname of YM Stationary amongst a few of my co-workers. I’m hoping that we will be able to get them trucked to our warehouse late next week to begin the shipping process, but those arrival dates can’t be determined until next week.

The YM Milestone is currently anchored outside the harbor. Ideally, it will pull in to unload faster than the Mobility, but the port delays seem to affect certain boats more than others so we still don’t have a set date for its docking or the arrival of the 19” wheels

If anyone has any questions or concerns about their order, please don’t hesitate to reach out via GangUp or [email protected]

AIS links:

18” wheels: YM Mobility: https://www.vesselfinder.com/?imo=9457737

Unloading at Oakland docks currently.

19” wheels: YM Milestone: https://www.vesselfinder.com/?imo=9484998

Anchored offshore of Oakland/San Francisco.

Once again we appreciate your patience with this process and are excited to get these wheels into your hands as soon as possible!

Seems like the ship with the 19" wheels docked last week.

The container for the 19s just arrived at our warehouse! We are pulling them out and checking them today and will begin shipping out these wheels early next week.

Tom.

I just realized I ordered 285 35 18 size tires for all 4 corners.. will this clear in front?
We haven't tested this setup on a car yet, so I don't know for sure. My guess is that the wider tires will rub slightly under compression up front although you can correct for this by dialing in additional negative camber. This will also be dependant on the model of tire as different tires come in varying tread widths. Rear fitment shouldn't be an issue. Are you still on the stock suspension?

Additional negative camber up front is what will help with outer clearance between your tire and inner fender well, but you won't have much if any front camber adjustment from the factory. Tire clearance will be close on the inside edge but most 285s should clear without spacers. I should have asked this initially, but what specific tires do you plan on running?

I'm using Pirelli P-Zero 285 35 18 size. I just got the wheels back from shop and test mounted but it is touching strut spring perch.. below is the photo when car was on jack.

I could not take photo when it was off the jack as i didn't have a lot of room... I did buy 5mm spacer to see if this will resolve this..

Understood, thanks for confirming that inner clearance. A 5mm spacer should hopefully be enough to clear the strut and spring perch without pushing the wheel too far outboard. These wheels were really made for 275s so their inner clearance is fairly tight. The amount of inner clearance between the tire shouldn't change much when the suspension is loaded for test fitment purposes. Keep us posted on the results after the addition of spacers.

Here's the update. I had to get a pair of 5mm spacer at ridiculous price because one from amazon went postal... I could not wait because I have an appointment for alignment tomorrow morning which is last chance before track day on monday.. :( But I'm happy to report that 5mm clears spring perch.

this was when it was raised on jack and hard to get a photo when it's down..

after all, this is what it looks like.

Thanks for the followup! Those 285s really are aggressive, but they should pay dividends on the track. Any rubbing up front under suspension compression?

The wheels look great on the car!
