Anything is tunable if you get the ecu unlocked. The JB4 is a Band-Aid ( all be it a great one) for now. For some reason I’m going to wait out the warranty before I do the tune voiding it.

running in on 93 has greatly improved the over all sound of the car and added power. For a daily driver I just don’t need insane power
Isn't the 21 with post 6/20 ECU not unlockable right now?

They can be hacked just have to send them out. One of my sales guys was locked after Toyota replaced the steering rack. I’ll have to ask him where he sent it. But his is now fully tuned

Did your o2 sensors go bad?
Tbh no idea as I haven’t switched back the car to check. End of the day it is what it is tho, loving the power and sound from the catless.

If you can find out where please let me know. Thanks.

I thought Alex from Mission Performance is the only guy that can hack the post 21 ECU and he hasn't release it yet?!

This is correct. post 6/20 ECUs cannot be tuned at this time.

It has been dyno proven in several cases that installing a catless DP without a tune will net you zero power gains and in some cases cause a slight loss in power. Hold off on a new DP until you are ready/able to tune. Stick with an upgraded intake and catback exhaust for now.

Lots of dynos posted show gains from downpipes even without a tune. here is one with the Jb4 on map4 (turned off). its a 340, same engine, same downpipe.

the intake on its own added 10 whp with the same setup, the downpipe added 20whp

Is it possible that something is slightly different with the Supras and the program of the ecu? I have jb4 and 21 Supra and I noticed the car running a lot less smooth and noticeable lag in throttle response and in torque especially at hwy speed when dropping down a gear or two in WOT. 1st through 3rd gear it still rips still but the difference is definitely noticeable enough to make me decide to take it off for now and put stock downpipe back on until we can do a full tune.

we'll need to see datalogs to know what's going on

but if you feel it runs better stock, remove it until the car is tuned

It shouldn't go into limp mode from just a Catless DP.
It could under certain circumstances. I have a catless with no tune and when I did a pull around 150 the car threw a drive train malfunction caused by “120208, boost pressure too high”.

This was when the BMW 340 was first released so probably 2016

the intake was the BMS B58 intake and the downpipe is VM 4" B58 downpipe (no longer offered).
