Anyone use Catless downpipe at cali

Na, go catted and tune.

Seeing this over the weekend kinda changed my thoughts about the downpipe. Stock car with a stock cat. Tune Only: 411hp on 93 and 485hp on e50.

I wouldve never changed the downpipe with these numbers.

I think that’s a CARB thing and not EPA. So perhaps true in California (dunno).

Don't know about everywhere...just what pertains to Cali. That being said, it's never stopped me from running straight pipes on my NA1 NSX for 3 years. Got pulled over many times but San Francisco cops never really cared. Just had to put the stock cats back on when smogging the car.

Here in California Jr. if they spend more than 10 seconds on the "visual inspection" portion of the smog test... it's because they lost their balance. No way they know what every factory cat looks like - let alone what's inside it. They usually look in the engine bay and not under the car (which is where my other vehicle's cats are) so at least with the Supra they'll finally be looking in the right place. If you have a pipe with something that appears to be an O2 sensor plugged into it they'd never know the difference.

I had mine catless. I just moved to Washington, but I had it for a few months in CA. No issues so far. I planned to get catted, but then realized I'm moving to a state that doesn't give a shh.

I know a lot of people that do, I do but I'm in florida and they don't give two shits. buy catted if you are worried, and catless if you don't care, some shops like people said above won't even know the difference. catless dp alone or tuned the difference is about 25-35 horsepower, maybe 10 less catted. I did it for power and then sound. You can also sell stock downpipes for around 1k, to me haha.

My friends and I are all catless and haven't ran into any problems yet. Just act responsibly and you should be fine. I just slapped on a single exit tomei this past weekend, so we'll see how that goes. Shits an absolute monster now.
