How To: Use Google Maps To Send Address To Your GPS

I used to use this feature all the time on my past BMW so I played with it today to see if I could get it work on the Supra and it does! You can use your desktop computer to send GPS destination and have it downloaded by your car using Google Maps. It's great if you planning a long trip and want to send all the coordinates to your car the night before. The steps below seem long but it's relatively quick once you have it setup. Enjoy!

1) Create a Toyota Owners Account and register the Supra online

2) Keep this email address handy because you will need it later

3) Create a Google Account

4) Log in and go to Google Maps (desktop version)

5) Pick a destination or address

6) Select (Send To Your Phone)

7) Select (Car)

8) Select (Edit) under Car or GPS Device

9) Select (Add Another Car or GPS Device)

10) Select (BMW)

11) Account ID: (Email address used to register Supra from Toyota Owners Account)

12) Display Name: Any nickname you want for your car

13) Hit (Ok) to register your car

14) Now your car should show up under (Cars and GPS Devices)

15) Go back to the destination and select (Send To Your Phone)

16) Select (Car)

17) You should now see the nickname that you gave your car and you can hit (Send)

18) The address will now be sent to your Supra GPS

19) Start car and it might take a minute for the data to transmit or it might already be there when you get in.

20) To access the Destination click on (Connected Services)

21) Select (Messages)

22) Select (MyInfo) - You should be able to see the address here. If it didn't show up give it another minute for the data to transmit.

23) All of the information should be displayed for you and it should have (Google) at the end of it.

24) You can highlight and select the address to begin navigation. You can also highlight the phone number if you wanted to call them too.

Thanks! Just tried this, but in a slightly different way (for Europe):

1. https://www.google.com/maps/sendtocar
   
2. Login with Google account
3. Add a new car like mentioned above (BMW) and use your Toyota Supra Connect services email as the account ID

Works the same as with other addresses send directly from the Toyota Supra Connect app or website, but directly through Google Maps.

I've been using this feature for a while now and it's really convenient to be able to send trip destinations from my desktop to my Supra...

I just can't get it to run. I have entered the email from www.toyota-supraconnect.de as "BMW".Then when I want to send the location my Supra is only "loaded" at Google Maps.

Can someone help?

Can't you do this from the Toyota App? I know from the MyBMW app you can upload a destination
