I have the opportunity to purchase a new 2021 silver Supra 3.0 premium or a 2022 red Supra 3.0 premium and I was hoping to get some advice. Both have drivers assist and no other add-ons. What would you recommend? Are there major changes between years? I haven’t gotten to see the red but in photos it looks good. Any opinions or comments welcome. Thanks!

Are they both 3.0L and same trim? Premium, Drivers Assist, base model, etc?

Honestly, buy the cheaper one, or the color you like better. The 2022 and 2021 are identical (some cosmetic changes on some trim levels of the interior of the 2022).

Both are ECU locked, both are 6-port heads, both are good cars. Assuming they're both 3.0L, all after market parts should be identical as well.

Thanks for the quick reply. I edited my original post with that info. Both are 3.0 premium and driver assist. I’ve never had a red car but I think this one looks great in red. I’ve had too many silver cars in the past but it’s a safe color.

I was originally trying to decide between the Turbulence Gray and the red. I went to the dealership leaning toward the red until I saw it in person. It was just…boring. If it looked like the Mazda red I would have jumped all over that, but the renaissance red just felt plain and uninspiring, so I went with the gray instead. Everyone is different though, go with the color you like more. There’s nothing different about the 2022 so I wouldn’t let that affect your decision.

If a turbulence grey was available I’d jump on it but it sounds like the upcoming deliveries are the last for the year. I also love the Mazda red but this does seem a little duller. If there were any on a lot near me it’d really help me decide.

Is the 2021 tunable? Meaning it has a pre 6/20 manufacturer date. If not, then buy based on price or color. It's a fantastic car you won't be disappointed either way.

I was torn between turbulence grey and red. Thought the red would be cool to match the brake calipers + red accents inside. When I saw it in person I changed my mind. The red is very dull, no metallic at all. I’m happy with the gray

I was torn between Black and Downshift Blue, but then I realized they don't make that one anymore, so I was then torn between Black and Black. I ended up with Black.
