yeah I hate those people to but this isn’t the same and I’m not like that. I know bimmercode is an option and money isn’t an issue, that wasn’t my question. If you can save $90, why not?
If you have the OBD2 dongle already, you'll find that the bimmercode app is actually more useful than just disabling ASD. Pretty worth the investment if you ask me!

You won't regret it... there's at least 5 options that (IMO naturally) are worth $30 each. It's like buy 1 get 4 free in that sense.
  1. Auto-stop setting memory
  2. Disable ASD
  3. Fix camera brightness.
  4. Add Sport+ modes
  5. Start in Sport Custom
Depending on update level #3 might not be necessary... but it sure was on mine. I guess in that case I'd swap it out with "Disable seatbelt chimes" or "Remove camera warning" - both of which are nice to have but not nearly as critical to me.

Not to mention that you can add Bimmerlink and then get your codes etc if problems elude you down the road.

Yes. Or it will automatically be put back by a full update flash (like the current recall will perform). Unless you really dig deep into options that aren't applicable to the Supra... it's all just turning things on or off that are already present in the ECU/iDrive anyway.

got it today and when I’m trying to connect my phone to the OBDLink guy, it doesn’t pop and as option to connect to. I’m in airplane mode, CarPlay turned off and the car in diagnostic mode. The OBDLink unit is flashing Bluetooth so I know it’s working. Any advice?

If you haven't already, I would recommend grabbing the PDF guide in this thread. That's what I used for almost everything I coded. I used an iPad for mine, so I didn't have to mess with airplane mode - but I did find that it helped to have it 100% charged and I held it fairly close to the OBD MX dongle during pairing.

It might also help to disable and then re-enable BT on the phone to see if that helps it rescan for available BT connections. Beyond that I don't really know... that's the problem with things that "just work" unfortunately - when they don't "just work" it's hard to pinpoint what is going wrong.

Or folks cry when they get a $366 oil change bill. Oh wait, that's wrong.
Oh I think I would be crying over an oil change that's $366. ???

Also - for everyone and anyone on this thread - Does using the Bimmercode app void the warranty? Like how does Toyota look at it when you bring the vehicle in for something? (I've been wondering that as I've read through threads on it.)
