What's the benefit of running both FlexFuel and meth? Is meth just a failsafe for more power if you can't find ethanol?

I want 600HP. I am debating a P800, but if I need an E tune and flex fuel to hit that, by the time I tack on the cost flexfuel kit and the E tune, the price gets closer to a topmount.

You will get more benefit from Methanol injection if you're on a port injection setup. That being said, Methanol =/= more power than a simple flex fuel setup. I've seen 2020 Supra's on a Pure 800, Methanol, Pump 93 setup make 600 whp and 580+ WTQ. If you add Ethanol mix, Methanol and a Pure 800, you can make 625+WHP and easily make 650+WTQ, however the factory trans will not hold this for long.

For your goals, if you aren't trying to maintain this power level 100% of the time, your best bet would be to go with a Methanol + Pure800 setup. If you're trying to maintain 600WHP at all times, you will need to go with a "not so conservative tune" and E50 on the stock fuel system. Basically, to do this safely, for your goals, you're going to need to go port injection.

@Sereph102889 Don't forget about cooling.

Methanol gives a massive amount of cooling and can significantly reduce IATs. More pulls with consistantly lower IATs is better for track days or hot lapping.

I wouldn’t personally use meth for octane unless you porn inject. But the cooling itself will be very beneficial

Where... did it go?
Originally me and my dad both wanted c8s. The Chevy dealership only gave us one allocation so we went in on it together for him to have it before upgrading to the zo6. Stuff changed when I seen how every corvette owners is an old man. Went with something more my age (20). My dad is happy about it too actually because he’s throwing twin turbos in the near future! I did enjoy it tho, raced it on the track a few times. Definitely more of a track monster but I’m more into what happens on the streets, making the tuner ability superior
