how long can i leave it in there also do you transfer the entire jug or just the amount you’ll use?

how long can i leave it in there also do you transfer the entire jug or just the amount you’ll use?

Whole thing. I put 5 gallons in at a time in the jug. Seems to last. It'll evaporate if it's not sealed well though.
