Hello all,

I wanted to ask if anyone is running a blow off valve currently. I was trying to look into it but I can’t find any videos on YouTube other than those posted by a member a few months ago, and not much on the forums either.

how is the car with the BOV? Does it drive any different? Would appreciate replies that also have details of your BOV and sound clips ?

No need. B58s use a diverter valve.

I’ve seen @A90 Shop sell some charge pipes with BOV on them. Also wondering if anyone has any experience with one of those

i alluded to this in the OP, this is only one report from one person and they didn’t really give detailed answers about drive feel
I remember seeing more videos in one of the facebook groups. Since you didn't mention the thread specifically I thought you meant about another one. (There are a couple of BOV threads)

actually B58s do not use a diverter valve at all for boost pressure bypass. There is no BOV, BPV, or DV on these cars.

B58 uses exhaust bypass, valvetronic adjustments and throttle to bypass pressure efficiently. BOVs can be used, but they are highly unneeded for stock turbo cars because the OEM method bypasses pressure enough for the stock turbo.

I have a BPV on my car that i use. Its built into my EFR turbo. But there are things that need to be done to use a BOV or BPV. but again, not needed on stock turbos.

Right on, also valve overlap, fuel cut and the throttle plate doesnt close to aid in bleeding off the pressure to the exhaust
