Your setup looks similar to mine, I rub over large bumps as well.

Whats your tire size, suspension setup and camber specs? Are you rubbing in front or back?

20x9.5 front w/275 30 +22
20x11 rear w/305 30 +35
Swift springs..
Rears are rubbing but as of now just when turning and 1 the rear tires is in a dip...so the loaded side rubs..

Did you do anything to fix your issue or just live with it?

So your specs are the same as mine, except im on coilovers.

I have the entire rear setup from SPL I will be installing soon. Im not really worried about it for street driving, but once I go to the track, I dont want to rub.

So just went for a little longer ride..
The only time it rubbed was on a VERY big bump...I'll see how long I can live with it before worrying to much...

My wife gave me this Hotwheel for xmas as a stocking stuffer so decided to paint the rear and center caps.

She heard me say in the past that I’m getting a 2nd Supra in white, so she said now I do.. ?

I lowered the rear of the car last night. I had a mechanic in the area explain to me how to use a come-along and some ratchet straps on the control arms to relieve the tension on the springs.
All you do is:

1. remove the lower mounting bolt of your shocks.
2. wrap your ratchet straps at the end of each control arm and connect to the come-along.
3. place a block on the differential cooler to keep the come-along at a "V" to have leverage to pull the control arms down.
4. One you relieve the tension on the spring you can adjust the nut by hand. (Make sure to loosen the locking bolt if you coilover have one on the nut.)
5. Remove all your straps.
6. If have two people, one can lift up on the suspension assembly by the rotors while the other slides the bolt back in the shock mount. The smart thing would be to use a jack or a underhoist to do this... but I didn't have that shit.

Props to my wife for getting those bolts back into the shocks.

With this method you do not have to have a spanner wrench AND you don't lose your alignment doing it this way. You just adjust the nut by hand.

I'm new to this game, so I am super grateful that he showed this to me. From what I understand this isn't common knowledge. I had two different specialist shops in the area complain about having to remove everything to use the spanner wrench to adjust the rear coilovers.

Hopefully this helps someone out. I'll try to make a video this weekend to demonstrate. I should have done it last night. Oh well.

Anyways. I only lowered the rear by about 5mm. Any lower and it would start scraping when going over huge humps or dips on the road. It helped reduce the rake and I can no longer squeeze my knuckles through the gap. Wheel fitment is now absolutely complete in my books... until I get a second set of wheels ?.

Below is what I posted in the Wheel thread on what I did for fitment. I'll get camber and front height this weekend.

• RSR Best I Active Coilvers
  • Rear springs are sitting on an a pair of Allstar Performance 1" Perch Spacer
  • Rear adjuster has about 29.5mm of threading remaining from the top(this is with the 1" perch spacer)
  • Front Coilover measurement is unknown. I will update when I measure it this weekend.
• SPL Front Lower Control Arms (to adjust Camber)
  • The bracket needs to have an extra hole drill on the bracket for the ride height sensor.
  • I ended just removing it completely and mounting it directly to the FLCA. I'll try to provide a picture this weekend.
• Wheels
  • SSR Professor SP1s
    • Front 20x9.5 +22
      • Uses a 3mm spacer. Final offset is +19
    • Rear 20x10.5 +30
• Tires
  • Michelin Pilot Sport 4S
    • Front 275/30 20
    • Rear 305/30 20

Cut up my engine cover to accommodate the EOSpeed manifold/archer Fab charge pipe. Probably needs to be cut more for the top mount turbo kit, but it’s progress. Next task is to find paint for the red strip to match the color scheme I’m going for under the hood.

That’s gotta be one of the cleanest cuts I’ve seen. Do tell us how you’re able to get it so clean. ?

But have a slight issue...when pulling into my driveway the loaded tire rubs? not sure if I should be concerned?

We’ve basically taken the whole rear suspension apart. If there’s an easier way, I don’t know it. 3 hours in and axles are out. Reassembly should be easy, but we’re breaking for lunch.

Do the axles have a snap ring so you can pull them out or did you have to open up the diff?

Got an alignment today after swapping out my H&R springs for HKS Hipermax Touring a while back. It feels so much better now. Sorry for the garbage resolution, that's all I got...

Pull them out. There’s a tool or you can just give em a good tug.

Could you describe how they feel different?
Ive noticed a few not seeming happy with H&R. I came across the HKS kit today (I’m new and am patiently awaiting delivery in the UK). Wondering if I can warrant the extra cost of these over eibach if I’m not looking for more than an inch drop

Sorry I should have clarified, it feels much better after the alignment than before. HKS post-alignment feels similar to H&R post-alignment, the drop is just much more balanced now.

My only complaint with the H&R is front/rear height imbalance. The drop was perfect initially, until I saw the threads about shipping spacers not being removed by dealerships. I jacked the car up and sure enough, my shipping spacers were still in (somehow I managed to swap the springs without noticing the spacers were still in there, they were stuck under the boot). I pulled the spacers out, dropped it back down, and the front dropped another half inch and completely threw off the front/rear height balance. I saw so many pictures with conflicting heights on different springs (I'm guessing some of it is due to people not removing shipping spacers), and eventually just said screw it and got the HKS so I could set it myself.
