Front lip install

So I am having trouble installing a front lip I have. It fits all way around but it's so flat it gaps under the headlights. I can force it to sit without gaps just afraid it'll eventually pull off and gap again. I got it used from a member here, they never tried installing it. So Im not blaming them or anything like that. Just looking for tips or something. The lip is not here and at a friend's shop. So I don't have any pictures to really give more details. Long shot, just hoping for a tip or something lol

I can assume why you are probably having issues.

With out pictures it’s a little hard to tell, but with VHB and some self-tappers it should be a nine issue.

If all else fails just bring it to a decent body shop. They’ll get it done for ya.

Yeah, I'm thinking the hardware will keep it secure. It fits snug and well holding it extremely snug and tight with my hands. I just "assumed" lips wouldn't take much force to be flush ??

What lip is it? Wondering because the headlights parts is throwing me off.

I have no idea, that's part of the issue. I'm going to force it up on and it should work. It doesn't Crack or anything holding it there. Bought it used hoping to make it work and will try again. If not, oh well ?

I remember that pic. ?

Here is what I can offer on the topic. After receiving my Maxton V2 front lip I noticed it went through a revision update. It appears they removed this section to improve fitment.

I bet the lip you have will need this update applied also to reduce that gap in the picture.

Please compare my cut out pic to your lip. If that area is preventing the lip from snugging up to the bumper then it will help to remove it.
